This is Scotty, the wonder horse.  Scotty was Cindy's first horse, since she moved to Houston.

Cindy and Scotty participate in the big trailride with the Valley Lodge Trailride Association.  Their trailride starts in Brookshire, Texas.

She first learned about the Houston Rodeo Trailride right after she moved to Houston in 1980 and ever since wanted to participate in the event. This is a dream come throught for her.

That year was super cold in the early days of the trailride, 2/3/98 - 10 degrees!  These are some of Cindy's friends, Marla and Amelia, all bundled up for the cold.

Of course, true to Houston weather, it was in the 80s by end of the trailride on 2/10/98!
